Standards

3.MD.3 Represent and interpret data

Draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories. Solve one- and two-step “how many more” and “how many less” problems using information presented in scaled bar graphs.

This map is used to explain concepts and good practices for this standard.

It took my 10, 9 & 8 year old about 10 minutes to complete. Great for learning about how to do a bar graph. They were disappointed there was no big dig site as the reward for finishing. They enjoyed it but expected more. Unable to mine the gold with stone picks. My 10 year old had to place blocks to enable the students to build. We think with a bit more work and a final adventure this would be an awesome map for the listed age and as it the age should be about age 6 or kindergarten.
